Position Title | Part-time Lecturer Project Management (PMI Certified)

Purpose of the Position
Muscat University is looking to support its Faculty of Business & Management through the appointment of a Part-time Lecturer in Project Management (PMI Certified). The post holder will contribute to the effective delivery of modules while ensuring a high-quality student learning experience and compliance with Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Project Management modules at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and learning materials
- Assess student assignments and provide feedback
- Support students with coursework and academic queries
- Liaise with the Faculty Dean or Module Leader on teaching-related matters
- Maintain accurate student records (attendance, grades)
- Integrate practical project management tools and real-world case studies into teaching
- Attend essential academic meetings (as required)
- Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager relevant to the role
Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Line Manager.
Qualifications, Competencies & Experience:
- Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Project Management, Business Administration, or closely related field
- PMI Certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
- Membership of recognized project management professional bodies
- Experience in teaching Project Management modules or delivering professional training
- Practical industry experience in project management
- Experience in Omani or GCC higher education environment
- Experience using digital learning platforms (e.g., LMS)
- Ability to explain project management concepts clearly and effectively
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to apply project management frameworks (e.g., PMBOK, Agile) in teaching
- Good organizational and time management skills
